Mountaineering

Between 1965 and 1995, I was a serious mountaineer.

In 1970, I was asked if I would be willing to guide a group of CH2Mer’s up Mt. Rainier.  I had climbed it eight times on four different routes.  I agreed but only if the group would commit to climbing three other peaks in the same year as preparation.

In 1971, the group climbed Mt. Washington, Mt. Baker (got snowed off), Mt. Hood, and Mt. Rainier. Here are some photos of the climbs and more can be found in the link below.
