Auburn University’s Samuel Ginn College of Engineering has named Blake Jeffcoat/MGM its 2013 Outstanding Civil Engineering Alumnus. ”Auburn University has been a major part of my life for 45 years,” said Blake, “from both a personal and professional standpoint. To be recognized among the thousands of other well- deserving Auburn University civil engineering graduates is especially meaningful. I am truly humbled and most appreciative of this recognition.”

Blake’s personal philosophy is that society benefits when engineers are involved. He has worked and held leadership positions with many civic, governmental, professional, and educational organizations, including the American Water Works Association, Alabama Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council, Rosa M.
