CH2M HILL trucks on the North Slope
CH2M HILL has landed a $600-million, 5-year sole-sourced contract with BP Exploration (Alaska), Inc. (BPXA). The contract, which includes two 2-year options, is to provide fluid hauling and wells support services for BPXA’s North Slope Operations.
BPXA sole-sourced the work to the firm because of our recognized world-class performance, North Slope-leading safety standards, and proposed cost-saving measures. From 2007 to 2011, E&C decreased the Recordable Incident Rate by 67 percent: from 1.99 to 0.64. Because CH2M HILL’s workforce comprises most of BPXA’s contractor workforce, our safety statistics impact BP’s safety statistics and form the backbone of their excellent safety performance.
CH2M HILL saved the client $5 million over 5 years by moving people from a BP-owned hotel to CH2M HILL-owned housing.
